The eight things about her and me

1) She not only had a recording of me saying 'I love you'. She also conspired to get a recording of my repeating those words in every mood. She liked to listen to me saying it when we were not together. The happy 'I love you' served well she said but the 'angry but I still love you' was more reassuring somehow.

2) Her English was nearly perfect yet she insisted that I correct any mistakes she made. I could never correct her : 'I love it when you hold me tide'. She meant 'hold me tight' of course but it was just too damn cute for me to change.

3) We loved to stand in a cold tram-stop. She inside my big overcoat and sharing each others warmth. Our car might have been across the road but we did it anyway.

4) We teased each other mercilessly. : 'Did I tell you I love you today?' 'No' 'Well, I love you today'.

5) She liked to make bag-fresheners from lavender. She asked me to help her collect it one day. 4am seemed a strange time. She was stealing it from the local town parks.

6) I'm sure she she believed Spring Rolls could cure anything.

7) Id get sms messages at 3am with recordings of her latest efforts to master some piece on the piano. I was expected to send a review. Id try and remember the last time she played it for me and tell her which phrases had improved........That was a tough one I tell you.

8) 'Come and help me with the kids' meant stopping on the way, buy diapers, baby food, Bath them, dress them, feed them and entertain them until she decided to get up. Then I was expected to take them all out and feed them, entertain them. It was great I tell you.

What part of love is needing and what part of love is about being needed?
